Overview of Pain Management

Chronic pain affects millions of Americans. It can interfere with your ability to work and participate in social and recreational activities, and may affect relationships with family or friends. Over time you may restrict your activities, becoming less physically fit to the point that even minor activities increase pain and fatigue.

We serve patients with treatments across the persistent pain continuum, from early intervention and managing pain to rehabilitation for the most complex, treatment-resistant chronic pain.

Chronic pain can affect every area of your life. The goal of our pain management program is to find solutions that provide relief and allow you to participate in the daily activities that add to your quality of life.  Before deciding on a course of treatment for you, we'll take into account your specific diagnosis and other factors to come up with an option that best fits your individual needs.

Types of conditions

  • Headache: Chronic headaches are those that occur daily for a period of time — often weeks or months.

  • Migraines: A migraine is an extremely painful headache that's usually found on one side of the head. It can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and light sensitivity.

  • Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a condition that's characterized by long lasting, widespread pain and fatigue.

  • Spasticity: Spasticity is a condition in which the muscles contract or tighten involuntarily and resist loosening or stretching. It's generally seen in those with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis or stroke.

  • We offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services: Helping you regain function and independence after an injury or illness is our focus.
