Overview of Neurological Rehabilitation
Neurological Rehabilitation (rehab) is a program set up by your doctor to help you recover from diseases, injury or disorders of the nervous system. Participating in neurological rehab can often help you improve function, reduce symptoms and shorten your recovery time.
After a stroke or other disease or injury to the nervous system, it may be necessary to work with a rehabilitation therapist to regain strength or functionality to the section of the brain or nervous system attacked by your disease. Working together, we can provide 24-hour nursing, physical, occupational, recreational and speech-language therapy to our neuro patients.
Brain Injury Medicine/Neurorehabilitation
Brain Injuries and Strokes are potentially devastating medical conditions that can fundamentally alter a person's level of function across multiple domains of life. Having a good treatment plan, often with a multi-disciplinary approach is key to recovery.
Brain Injury specialists can help recovery potential via different medication and non-medication interventions and work in parallel with your therapists to optimize your recovery potential in cognitive, speech, and physical functioning.
