Therese Hinz, PPCNP-BC, was born and raised in Fresno, California. She graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and later earned her Master of Science degree in nursing and primary care/nurse practitioner.

Therese is a board-certified nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She holds a California nursing license and is a National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners member. Recently, Therese joined the Valley Surgical Specialist team, where she leads the High-Risk Breast Cancer Program and the Breast Cancer Survivorship Program.

Before joining Valley Surgical Specialists, Therese worked with Dr. Dina Ibrahim in medical oncology at the Community Cancer Institute. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at Valley Children’s, specializing in childhood cancer survivorship, pediatric oncology, hematology, nephrology and endocrinology.

Therese enjoys being an active member in the community and has been coaching youth soccer for over 20 years. Therese has actively played soccer since she was six and now coaches her children, hoping to instill in them a love for the game.
