Shannon N. Liang, M.D., is board-certified in neurology with a special qualification in child neurology. She completed her residency in child neurology at Washington University in St. Louis/St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Liang is an associate clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, in the UCSF Fresno Department of Pediatrics, Division of Child Neurology. Previous academic appointments include associate clinical professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis. There, she served as the section chief of pediatric neurology and residency director for the newly developed child neurology residency program.

Dr. Liang is a comprehensive child neurologist specializing in evaluating and managing various conditions, including developmental delay, seizures, epilepsy, headaches, neonatal encephalopathy, traumatic brain injuries, and neuromuscular diseases. She practices evidence-based medicine and will listen to families to make shared medical decisions. Dr. Liang values medical education and teaching medical students and residents.

In her free time, Dr. Liang enjoys spending time with her family and exploring nature.
