Mohona Reza, M.D., was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. When she was three, her family immigrated to Queens, New York. Dr. Reza completed her undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in New York and medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. She completed her neurology residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and her fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Reza’s passion for medicine and neurology stemmed from volunteering in underdeveloped countries and low-income areas. Her research interests include investigating the relationship between socioeconomic status and disability in patients with multiple sclerosis and ways to decrease healthcare disparities. Since 2020, Dr. Reza has been published multiple times in the Neurology Journal.

Dr. Reza is a member of the American Headache Society, Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis, National MS Society and American Academy of Neurology. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to seeing patients with multiple sclerosis, autoimmune encephalitis, MOGAD, NMO, and other neuroimmunologic disorders, she also treats patients with headaches through oral medications, infusions or Botox. In her spare time, she loves to read, hike, paint, travel and cook.
