Mark Krel, D.O., is a proud native of Southern California. He completed his
undergraduate, graduate, medical education, neurosurgical residency and
fellowship training in California. After his neurosurgery residency, Dr. Krel
received subspecialty training and served as a clinical instructor in stereotactic,
functional, epilepsy, and pain neurosurgery at Stanford University. He specializes
in movement disorders (Parkinson’s Disease, Tremor, Dystonia, etc.), epilepsy
(including invasive monitoring, neuro-stimulation, and open and minimally
invasive surgery), pain, and psychosurgery to treat depression, obsessive
compulsive disorder, Tourette’s syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.
Additionally, Dr. Krel has broad experience in general neurosurgery and trauma
neurosurgery with training in California’s busiest Level I and Level II trauma
centers. He is excited to offer patients of the Central Valley world-class care to
treat these difficult and debilitating conditions. Dr. Krel is grateful for the
opportunity to partner with patients in their care and looks forward to working
to improve the health of our community.
