Born and raised in Fresno, Dr. Lura Justice Reddington graduated from Fresno State prior to heading off to Pennsylvania for a Master’s Degree in Applied Human Physiology at Hahnemann University and then Medical School at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

After completing her residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, she and her husband returned to Fresno, where she started her private medical practice in obstetrics and gynecology, which she has maintained for approximately 30 years. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Recently, she became a Wound Care Specialist, overseeing the Wound Care Clinic at Clovis Community Medical Center.

Over the years, she has been involved on various boards and committees within the Community Hospital system, including being the Department Chair for the last eight years for the Obstetrics and Pediatric departments at Clovis Community Medical Center.  She has also hosted or co-hosted women’s health conferences at Clovis Community Medical Center.

In June 2021, the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program awarded Dr. Reddington the Private Physician Educator Award.

Now that their three children are grown and on their own, Lura enjoys baking, gardening, and visiting Santa Cruz with her husband on her time off. And, of course, visiting “the kids.”
