Jaskeerit Purewal, M.D., is a primary care physician who is board-certified in family medicine and sees patients of all ages. Her professional interests include women’s health, pediatric care and gender-affirming medicine. She provides care in the areas of general internal medicine, contraceptive care, gender-affirming care and procedures.

Dr. Purewal grew up in the Central Valley and earned her undergraduate degree from UC San Diego, where she majored in human biology and minored in healthcare and social issues. She then went on to work in medical research at UCSF. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University, graduating magna cum laude. She completed her family and community medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno and served as chief resident.

She previously worked at UCLA Health as a primary care physician and clinical instructor teaching at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA before returning to the Central Valley to practice medicine.

Practicing family medicine allows Dr. Purewal to build trust with her patients and work as a team to improve their health. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading novels, traveling and hiking with her dog.
