Dr. Candice Reyes completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at Brown University in Rhode Island in 2012. Prior to this, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Danbury Hospital, a Yale University affiliate, in Connecticut. She was named Resident of the Year upon her graduation in 2008. She earned her medical degree in 2002 from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, graduating with summa cum laude honors. Dr. Reyes also completed her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Santo Tomas and graduated cum laude.
 

Dr. Reyes holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and she is the only person in the Central Valley certified as a Rheumatology Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Sonographer (RhMSUS). This American College of Rheumatology certification includes stringent test requirements and training in musculoskeletal ultrasound under the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.
 

Dr. Reyes also has a background as a physical therapist which helped fortify her skills and interests in musculoskeletal diseases and soft tissue conditions. This interest continues to be reflected and applied in her current practice of treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases in her Rheumatology clinic. 

She loves teaching and has been in academic medicine as faculty of University of California San Francisco (UCSF) for more than a decade. Dr. Reyes teaches medical students and residents from the various programs within our local UCSF Fresno branch campus. When she is not at work, she is at her karate dojo, but she mostly enjoys time with her children at home, outdoors, or at the movies. She also enjoys writing poetry, listening to and playing music, appreciating food, and singing karaoke with family and friends.
