Dr. Mendez Ruiz received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Mendez Ruiz then went on to pursue further training in vascular and interventional neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
