Choosing your doctor is a personal and important decision. And when faced with cancer, there are a lot of moving parts. We are here to create a comprehensive treatment plan for you and see you through the entire journey.
Gynecologic oncology is a subspecialty devoted to caring for people with pre-cancers and cancers of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, vulva and vagina, as well as pregnancy-related tumors. Physicians in this discipline complete four years of training in obstetrics and gynecology, and then receive three years of instruction in cancer surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and palliative care. While gynecologic oncologists focus on cancer, they also apply their expertise in surgery as consultants for medically complex gynecologic or obstetric situations. Additionally, they engage in research and education, participating in broader societal efforts to eradicate cancer once and for all.
