Sampath (Sam) Wijesinghe, DHSc, PA-C, AAHIVS, is a dedicated clinician and educator with a background in primary care medicine since 2010 and a specialization in HIV medicine since 2014. Sam earned his master's degree in physician assistant studies from Union College, Lincoln, NE, and another master's degree in management information systems (major) with an MBA (minor) from the University of Nebraska. His journey towards becoming an HIV specialist involved completing a one-year HIV fellowship at UCSF, Fresno. With a profound interest in global health, Sam pursued a Doctor of Health Science degree with a focus on global health from A.T. Still University.
In addition to his clinical role, Sam holds the position of clinical assistant professor at Stanford School of Medicine. At Stanford, he serves as the director of career development and associate director of clerkship education for the Master of Science in PA (MSPA) studies. He also serves as the clinical site director for the Central Valley region at Stanford University.
Beyond his professional commitments, Sam finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and two children. His interests include traveling with his family, enjoying music, and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular exercise, hiking, and biking.
