Dr. Nicole Takeda is dedicated to transforming lives in the Central Valley. Born and raised in Fresno, her journey from Clovis West High School to becoming a bariatric surgeon is marked by an unwavering commitment to patient care.

Her academic pursuits began at the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors with a Bachelor of Science in human biology. Driven by a passion for healing and a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives, she pursued her Doctor of Medicine at the University of California, Davis, laying the foundation for her future endeavors in the field of surgery.

Returning to her roots in Fresno, Dr. Takeda embarked on her residency training in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno. Here, she honed her surgical skills and earned accolades in patient care (Community Medical Centers Care Hero Award) and medical education (UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program's Excellence in Teaching Award).
