Nathan Deis, M.D., MSc, FRCSC, completed his medical school and residency at the University of Alberta and went on to complete his fellowship training in spine surgery and critical care medicine at the University of Calgary. He specializes in cervical/neck, thoracic, lumbar and spinal conditions.

Dr. Deis has been an advanced trauma life support instructor and lectured physicians on head trauma and clinical skills. He has also given multiple presentations on topics such as the management of acute head trauma, metabolic monitoring in the intensive care unit and neurocritical care.

In his free time, Dr. Deis participates in triathlons and cycling events.
