Anshu Varma M.D. graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India, with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) followed by a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Degree in Pediatrics. She went on to complete her internship in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and her residency at Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Anshu is a member of the American College of Physicians, Doctors of America, American Medical Association and the Indian Physicians Association of Central California. She has worked in the capacity of Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UCSF-Fresno, teaching resident doctors and medical students for over five years. Dr. Varma volunteered as a translator transcribing Hindi and Punjabi to English at F.H.C.N. volunteers with Fresno County. She played a pivotal role in a non-medical capacity when she served as the President of the Indian Association of Central Wisconsin and was partners with Shama Inc. Festival Of India, bringing cultural awareness to the Central Wisconsin area for over a decade. When not working, Anshu enjoys cooking and baking and also can be found hiking, biking, and kayaking locally.
